Beauty company WeWhiten is expanding its pain-free and affordable tooth-whitening treatments to Utah as part of its plan to roll out services nationwide. WeWhiten aims to make its unique whitening approach accessible to more Americans by eliminating harsh chemicals and reducing costs compared to traditional dental practices. The company currently operates in eight states and plans to open over 150 studios across the country. WeWhiten's prices are substantially lower than the industry standard, with their flagship 90-minute treatment priced at $199 for non-members and promising up to 8 shades of whiter teeth. The 60-minute sessions are priced at $139 for non-members and provide up to 6 shades whiter. The company uses a plant- and mineral-based whitening gel that builds enamel without altering the teeth's chemical structure. WeWhiten's method involves applying a non-abrasive gel to the teeth's surface and using blue LED light to speed up the activity of the active ingredients. This approach avoids harsh peroxide bleaches, preserves gums, eliminates pain, and protects tooth enamel. WeWhiten was founded in 2020 and has grown rapidly despite the pandemic, with thirty-plus studios serving over 50,000 people across eight states. For more information, visit WeWhiten's website.

Salt Lake City, UT, United States - December 2, 2023 —

Beauty company WeWhiten is rolling out its service across the country in a bid to enable more Americans to benefit from its unique approach to whitening. The brand eliminates the use of harsh chemicals in its treatments while lowering costs compared to conventional dental practices.
“We currently operate in eight states,” company CEO Katherine Dangerfield says, “but are aiming to open more than 150 studios so everyone can access our unique services. We want to help people smile whiter today by reducing prices and eliminating the risks associated with conventional whitening techniques.”
Prices for WeWhiten’s tooth-whitening treatments are substantially lower than the industry standard, explaining its popularity and rapid growth. The beauty company’s flagship 90-minute whitening treatment is only $199 for non-members and whitens teeth by up to 8 shades. The cheaper 60-minute whitening sessions are $139 for non-members and promise teeth up to six shades whiter. Members' prices are even lower.
Further driving demand, WeWhiten’s methods are safe. The company uses a plant- and mineral-based whitening gel formulation that builds the enamel. The active ingredients kill bacteria but don’t change teeth’s chemical structure.
“WeWhiten’s approach to teeth-whitening is state-of-the-art,” Dangerfield claims. “Technicians begin by applying the non-abrasive gel to the surface of teeth and use blue LED light to oxidize compounds in the gel, speeding up the activity of active ingredients. This method means we avoid harsh peroxide bleaches found in nearly all conventional whitening treatments, preserving gums, eliminating pain, and protecting tooth enamel.”
Dangerfield founded WeWhiten in 2020 after noticing a significant gap in the dental industry market for teeth whitening services. “Existing techniques were expensive and often uncomfortable,” she says, “blocking most people from using teeth whitening near me.”
As such, Dangerfield decided to invest in researching new techniques that gave clients the whiter teeth they wanted without the downsides. The first WeWhiten studio opened soon after in American Fort, UT.
Despite the pandemic hitting just two weeks after launching, WeWhiten now has thirty-plus studios across eight states. These serve more than 50,000 people nationwide and continue to grow.

Police have busted a cybercrime ring that allegedly stole over 8 million pieces of personal information from dozens of businesses by using artificial intelligence (AI), officials said Monday. Seven suspects allegedly stole 8.2 million pieces of personal data and other internal records from over 90 entities, including hospitals, private academies and businesses, until recently from September last year, according to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. The group is suspected of using AI tools to hack 60 of the targets and attempting to extort some of them. Of the targeted entities, 38 suffered losses, with the group demanding a combined 360 million won ($272,000) from them. Police said the group's 32-year-old ring leader was referred to the prosecution on Friday while he was under physical detention. The other suspects are facing further questioning. The ringleader, a self-taught hacker, learned about hacking skills by working at a security company, where the suspect was in charge of mock hacking attacks. Authorities have recently been on alert over cybercrime suspected of employing AI tool
