Wedding Venue Lighting Approaches 15 Years of Transforming Weddings and Events Across Yorkshire
Nov 6, 2026
Yorkshire wedding and event lighting specialists celebrate nearly 15 years of creativity, local expertise and transforming some of the region's most beautiful venues.
Cleckheaton, England, United Kingdom, November 6, 2026 -- WEST YORKSHIRE, UK – From humble beginnings with a small collection of uplighters to becoming an established name in Yorkshire's wedding industry, Wedding Venue Lighting is approaching 15 years of helping couples and event organisers create unforgettable celebrations.
Established in 2012 and based in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, the company has built its reputation on professional lighting installations, creative venue styling and an extensive understanding of Yorkshire's diverse wedding venues.
What began as a small lighting hire business has developed into a comprehensive wedding and event styling company, offering bespoke lighting, elegant draping, illuminated dance floors, decorative backdrops, photo booths and more.
Bringing Yorkshire's Wedding Venues to Life
Having worked extensively throughout West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and the East Riding, Wedding Venue Lighting has developed valuable relationships with venues across the region.
Its experience includes working with well-known locations such as Oulton Hall in Leeds, Sandburn Hall near York, Waterton Park Hotel near Wakefield and Middleton Lodge near Richmond.
This local knowledge enables the team to understand each venue's unique characteristics, installation requirements and creative possibilities, from historic country estates and luxury hotels to rustic barns and contemporary event spaces.
How Yorkshire's Wedding Industry Has Changed
Reflecting on the company's journey, founder Matt Butcher highlights how wedding styling has evolved over the past decade.
"The Yorkshire wedding industry has changed massively since we started Wedding Venue Lighting back in 2012.
Back then, lighting and venue styling were often considered an added extra. Fast forward to today and they're a much bigger part of the overall wedding experience.
Couples now have so much inspiration at their fingertips through Instagram and Pinterest. Fairy light ceilings, draping, illuminated dance floors, statement backdrops and photo booths have all become part of creating that all-important wow factor.
We've also seen venues raise their game, expectations increase and couples become much more involved in how their wedding looks and feels."
Specialist Expertise Built on Experience
Under Matt's direction, Wedding Venue Lighting has continually invested in professional equipment, creative solutions and expanding its services to meet changing customer expectations.
From romantic fairy light installations and atmospheric uplighting to striking dance floors and statement backdrops, the company's wedding venue lighting and styling services help bring each couple's individual vision to life.
Beyond weddings, the business also supports corporate events, awards ceremonies and private celebrations, providing professional installation, creative design and reliable event delivery.
A Reputation Built on Trust
With extensive experience working alongside Yorkshire's wedding venues, Wedding Venue Lighting understands the importance of careful planning, dependable installation and attention to detail.
The team works closely with couples and venue coordinators to ensure every installation complements the setting and is completed ahead of the celebration.
Looking Ahead
As Wedding Venue Lighting approaches its 15th anniversary in 2027, the company remains focused on developing its services, investing in new equipment and strengthening relationships throughout Yorkshire.
From Leeds and Bradford to York, Harrogate and Sheffield, its mission remains unchanged: helping clients transform their venues into extraordinary spaces.
