June 14, 2023 - /PressAdvantage/ - Today, Lisa Jackson, a compassionate real estate expert at Samson Properties, announced that foreclosures are on the rise in the state of Virginia. Despite the booming housing market, some homeowners are still facing foreclosure and are finding it difficult to stay current with their mortgage payments. With her expertise, Lisa aims to inform and support those in pre-foreclosure by shedding light on the plethora of resources available to help them navigate this challenging situation.
According to the latest report from ATTOM, a land, property, and real estate data company, foreclosure filings in January have increased substantially by 36% year-over-year. Lisa Jackson explains that "Lenders are catching up on the backlog of pre-pandemic pre-foreclosures and pandemic pre-foreclosures that did not have the protections that government-backed loans did. It is essential for homeowners facing foreclosure to be aware of the assistance options available to them during this time."

The same report reveals that foreclosure starts on U.S. properties increased by a staggering 75% compared to last year. This alarming statistic highlights the urgent need for homeowners to understand their options and seek appropriate support to prevent losing their homes. Jackson notes, "The annual increase in overall foreclosure activity over the past 21 months indicates a significant trend that could continue into 2023. Homeowners must act promptly and utilize the available resources to help avoid being caught in this disconcerting wave of foreclosures."

Police have busted a cybercrime ring that allegedly stole over 8 million pieces of personal information from dozens of businesses by using artificial intelligence (AI), officials said Monday. Seven suspects allegedly stole 8.2 million pieces of personal data and other internal records from over 90 entities, including hospitals, private academies and businesses, until recently from September last year, according to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. The group is suspected of using AI tools to hack 60 of the targets and attempting to extort some of them. Of the targeted entities, 38 suffered losses, with the group demanding a combined 360 million won ($272,000) from them. Police said the group's 32-year-old ring leader was referred to the prosecution on Friday while he was under physical detention. The other suspects are facing further questioning. The ringleader, a self-taught hacker, learned about hacking skills by working at a security company, where the suspect was in charge of mock hacking attacks.
