The public are invited to join royalty and support a worthy cause at the same time when The American Foundation of Savoy Orders Hosts its Fourth Annual Notte di Savoia on Saturday, April 9 at the Jonathon Club in Downtown LA. His Royal Highness Prince Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, Prince of Venice and Prince of Piedmont will preside over the event that benefits Caterina’s Club, an Orange County, Calif based nonprofit founded by Sir Bruno Serato that feeds hot pasta dinners to 5,000 hungry children each night, finds permanent housing for families in need and trains at-risk youth for careers in the hospitality field.

The event starts with cocktails at 6 pm followed by dinner and dancing from 7 – 10 pm and capped off with an afterglow cordial. Black or white tie attire is requested for gentlemen while long gowns are expected for women.

The Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy are among the oldest orders of Knighthood and Merit in the world. The Savoy Orders are headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland and have 36 Delegations worldwide that support the Orders’ ongoing charitable works. Their origins and their principles, traditions and humanitarian goals date back a thousand years. HRH Prince Victor Emmanuel, Prince of Naples and Duke of Savoy, is Head of the House of Savoy and Grand Master of the Savoy Orders. Prince Emanuele Filiberto is his son and hereditary Prince and currently serves as Chairman of the Grand Magistry of the Savoy Orders. Among his hereditary titles is Crown Prince of Italy.

Its nonprofit American Foundation and Delegation of Savoy Orders is headquartered in New York City and is among the 36 delegations of the Savoy Orders located throughout Europe, the Americas and Japan. The charitable organization supports local, national, and international charities focusing on medical, educational, and humanitarian fields, including philanthropy for hospitals and relief agencies for children, the poor, sick and elderly. The Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization in Roster Consultative Statues with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

A native of Italy, Serato arrived in the U.S. with only $200 in his pocket. He worked hard and eventually started his own critically acclaimed restaurant, Anaheim White House. When he learned about children going to bed hungry right here in the backyard of such great wealth, he started feeding them and today serves 5,000 hot pasta dinners each night in Southern California. For his humanitarian work, he was named a CNN Hero, knighted by the Italian government and the House of Savoy, earned the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, received a papal blessing from Pope Francis, was recognized by Congress on the steps of the U.S. Capitol. He accepts these accolades to generate public awareness of food scarcity in the U.S. Visit www.caterinasclub.org

That positioned the warships past the first island chain, a...
