Northern Media Services has announced its AI-powered marketing approach for 2027, which now includes revenue growth planning, giving local businesses a structured way to assess their marketing position and identify growth opportunities.

Oswego, United States, October 10, 2026 /NewsNetwork/ -- Northern Media Services has announced the addition of revenue growth planning to its AI-powered marketing approach. The agency's recent update, effective as of October 5, 2026, introduces a framework designed to help local businesses assess their marketing position, identify potential growth opportunities, and develop data-informed strategies to support revenue growth.
More information is available at https://www.northernmediaservices.com/
The update comes as a Gallup Pathways to Wealth survey, conducted with JPMorganChase and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, found that 71% of business owners have no business plan, while owners with a plan in place were more likely to report year-over-year revenue growth. The same research found that among owners without a detailed plan, just 18% were highly confident they could write one that a potential partner or investor would consider satisfactory, while 25% said they would not know how to write one at all. Northern Media Services says its approach to revenue growth is designed to address this planning gap by helping local businesses understand their marketing position and identify areas where growth opportunities may exist.
"More marketing activity does not always translate into more revenue," said Charles Mckinnon, CEO of Northern Media Services. "Businesses need to understand which opportunities are contributing to growth so they can make better decisions about where to focus their marketing resources."
The agency says its framework combines AI-led analysis with human review, examining more than 500 business and marketing data points, including business niche, location, traffic sources, conversion activity, and customer follow-up processes. According to the agency, the analysis draws on third-party data sources, such as Google Ads, alongside its own first-party data. The assessment, which can be completed in about five minutes, evaluates how businesses attract, convert, and engage potential customers, helping uncover gaps that may inform marketing decisions and shape broader revenue growth strategies.
Following the assessment, businesses receive a 12-month marketing roadmap outlining recommended activities, projected budgets, estimated customer acquisition costs, and revenue scenarios across each stage of the plan. Each month of the roadmap sets out the services involved, the budget required, and the estimated revenue outcome for that period. The roadmap allows businesses to review potential marketing directions and expected resource requirements before deciding whether to proceed with implementation.
For businesses that choose to move forward with implementation, Northern Media Services applies the roadmap across the areas identified during planning, translating the findings into targeted marketing activities across website improvements, search marketing, advertising, and customer engagement. The agency says implementation is guided by ongoing performance tracking, allowing businesses to refine activities as results are evaluated against the objectives established in the growth plan. Businesses can also reach a human marketing specialist through a "Talk with a Human" option built into the platform.
"Effective growth marketing is not a set-and-forget process," added Mckinnon. "Campaign performance needs to be reviewed continuously as customer behavior and market conditions change. Our platform uses ongoing data analysis to identify where adjustments may be needed and inform future marketing decisions."

Thirty-eight people suffered minor injuries Saturday when part of a ceiling collapsed at a building in Daegu, fire authorities said. According to the Daegu Fire and Safety Headquarters and the Buk District Office, the incident occurred at 10:16 a.m. on the second floor of a four-story building in Gwaneum-dong, Buk District. At the time, a vendor was selling kitchenware and other goods to elderly customers when a section of the ceiling finish collapsed. All 66 people inside evacuated the building on their own following the collapse. A total of 38 people were reported to have sustained minor injuries, with nine of them transported to hospitals. None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening. Firefighters were dispatched to conduct a search and implement safety measures at the scene. A thorough search following the evacuation revealed no additional casualties. Police also deployed officers around the site to manage traffic. Built in 1994, the four-story building previously housed a grocery store on the first floor, which had suspended operations in September. Authorities plan to in
Every weekday before 1997, death row inmates in Korea braced themselves between 6 and 9 a.m. — the hours when executions could happen. If 9 a.m. passed uneventfully, they felt relief. Then they went to sleep wondering if the next morning would be their last. No one has been executed since Dec. 30, 1997, but 56 people remain on death row — 52 in Ministry of Justice correctional facilities and four in military prisons. Kim Dae-keun, a research fellow at the Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice, interviewed 42 of them. "Most of them were ashamed, distressed or regretful about what they did," Kim said in an interview with The Korea Times. "I imagine they were brutal and frightening when they committed their crimes. But many I met in prison now were older, frail men." Oct. 10 marks World Day Against the Death Penalty, an annual international observance calling for the abolition of executions as judicial punishment. In Korea, the day arrives with the death penalty still on the books but widely regarded as unenforceable. Most inmates now believe executions will not resume — a beli
The National Human Rights Commission of Korea (NHRCK) on Saturday called for renewed efforts to abolish the death penalty, nearly 30 years after the country's last execution. In a statement marking the 24th World Day Against the Death Penalty, NHRCK Chairperson Ahn Chang-ho noted that Korea had not carried out an execution since Dec. 30, 1997. “The past 30 years have shown that society can maintain public safety and a stable criminal justice system without carrying out executions. This experience is a valuable asset that goes beyond simply suspending executions,” Ahn said. “Now is the time to advance discussions on whether the death penalty should remain in law, drawing on this experience.” Ahn also highlighted the global trend toward abolishing capital punishment. According to Amnesty International, 145 countries had abolished the death penalty in law or practice as of the end of last year, accounting for about three-quarters of countries worldwide. He said discussions on abolition should take into account the suffering of violent crime victims and their families, as well as publ

Two Chinese ceramics at the British Museum have been damaged while on display and are being restored, sparking fresh debate over how museums should safely exhibit fragile cultural treasures.
