The Teacher of the Month Award is presented to teachers who go above and beyond in their mission to cultivate strong, independent and beautiful minds at Villa Montessori Preschool Leesburg. Given that the preschool places a high priority in selecting the best teachers and assistants to lead their classes, this award is often hotly contested due to the sheer talent and dedication of the staff who come up for consideration.

As stated on their website, Villa Montessori believes that every day is an opportunity for a child to learn something new. While lessons are an important aspect of any child’s education and upbringing, their exploration of their surroundings and their interactions with fellow students, teachers and parents all serve to inculcate vital seeds of growth that will blossom as they grow up. The preschool’s teachers universally believe in maintaining an educational environment that encourages investigation and rewards curiosity. The preschool relies on a distinct blend of Montessori and Reggio, two of the most dynamic and inspiring curricula in the world. Each is widely recognized for their strengths, but Villa Montessori combines the strengths of the two to create a unique framework for learning that they believe is especially beneficial for the young minds entrusted to their care. Most importantly, the lessons learned under this specialized curriculum stay with the prechool’s students long after they leave, enduring well into their school careers. They state, “We nurture our students so they are comfortable to express their perceptions of the world by providing avenues such as drawing, painting, sculpture, dramatic play, dance, movement, mathematics, language arts, poetry and writing.”

Notably, Villa Montessori is always keen to welcome parents who want to meet their teachers in person, particularly if they wish to apply for placement at the preschool. Villa Montessori often hosts Open House events in order to facilitate such meetings, which have the added benefit of allowing parents to explore the preschool’s amenities. Those who prefer a more personalised visit may also request a Private Tour of the grounds.

The preschool enjoys a central location in Leesburg, VA, and their students often hail from many of the surrounding communities. As such, Villa Montessori invites parents from Purcellville, Round Hill, Hamilton, Paeonian Springs, Lansdowne and so on to stop by if they have any questions regarding their child’s enrolment. The preschool notes that those concerned by long commutes will likely find that Villa Montessori is easier to reach than they initially believed. Parents will be pleased to find that the preschool’s online reviews reflect how beloved they are among local communities. For instance, Lainey Hashimi-Clark’s glowing 5-Star review shares that, “We loved having our daughter at Villa Montessori! It was very important to my husband and I that she went to an accredited Montessori institution. She started at Villa when she was 19 months (when the school opened) and with her being my first (and only) child, needless to say I was a nervous wreck leaving her that first day of school! The entire Villa family made me feel so comfortable and were amazing with her. I knew we were in the right place.” Read the rest of this review on Google Maps, where the preschool enjoys a full 5-Star aggregate rating.
