Monarch Mental Health Group has expanded its adult ADHD assessment service to combine psychological testing with formal psychiatric consultation and a structured post-diagnostic support programme for previously undiagnosed adults across Australia.
Sydney, Australia, October 26, 2026 -- Monarch Mental Health Group has expanded its adult ADHD assessment pathway for undiagnosed adults, pairing psychological testing and clinical interviews with a formal psychiatric consultation and structured post-diagnostic support. The expanded service is delivered via telehealth and is designed for adults who were not identified with the condition in childhood and who are now seeking a formal evaluation.
Under the expanded model, psychologists conduct comprehensive psychometric assessments, including questionnaires, clinical interviews and input from a childhood informant and a person familiar with the patient's current life, before a psychiatrist reviews the findings, assesses whether diagnostic criteria are met and considers appropriate medical management. The psychological assessment involves three telehealth appointments: one 60-minute session and two 90-minute sessions. Questionnaires cover patterns of functioning, general mental health and personal history as part of the ADHD Assessment for Adults service.
The expanded pathway places particular emphasis on differential diagnosis, with clinicians assessing whether symptoms of inattention, disorganisation or executive dysfunction reflect ADHD, a co-occurring mood or anxiety condition, or a trauma-related presentation such as PTSD. This differential assessment informs treatment planning for adults presenting with overlapping symptoms of ADHD, depression or anxiety.
Patients who receive a diagnosis are offered a ten-week psychological intervention programme focused on executive-functioning skills, habit formation and coping strategies, often incorporating cognitive behavioural therapy techniques. Medical management, where clinically appropriate, is determined individually by the treating psychiatrist and is not guaranteed as part of an assessment. For patients identified with co-occurring depression during the assessment process, Monarch Mental Health Group also provides non-pharmacological options through its TMS Treatment for Depression service, separate from the ADHD diagnostic pathway itself.
Medicare rebates for eligible components of the pathway depend on an appropriate general practitioner referral and an applicable mental health care plan; eligibility should be checked for each service rather than assumed for the whole pathway. The expanded structure provides general practitioners with a multidisciplinary referral pathway for adults presenting with complex or overlapping symptoms. The group's services extend to veterans and first responders who may experience cognitive fatigue alongside other mental health conditions.
Monarch Mental Health Group provides mental health assessment and treatment services in Australia, including adult ADHD assessments, psychological care and transcranial magnetic stimulation for depression. Its adult ADHD assessment service is delivered via telehealth, with psychological interventions and psychiatric assessment available as part of subsequent care. The group operates clinics across multiple Australian states, including a Sydney CBD location at Level 4, 131 York Street.

Police have busted a cybercrime ring that allegedly stole over 8 million pieces of personal information from dozens of businesses by using artificial intelligence (AI), officials said Monday. Seven suspects allegedly stole 8.2 million pieces of personal data and other internal records from over 90 entities, including hospitals, private academies and businesses, until recently from September last year, according to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. The group is suspected of using AI tools to hack 60 of the targets and attempting to extort some of them. Of the targeted entities, 38 suffered losses, with the group demanding a combined 360 million won ($272,000) from them. Police said the group's 32-year-old ring leader was referred to the prosecution on Friday while he was under physical detention. The other suspects are facing further questioning. The ringleader, a self-taught hacker, learned about hacking skills by working at a security company, where the suspect was in charge of mock hacking attacks. Authorities have recently been on alert over cybercrime suspected of employing AI tool
