London Meniscus Tear Surgery Specialist, No-Referral Appointments Updated

Clients can now schedule their own appointments, with no wait list and no referral, using the MSK Doctors' updated self-scheduling service, to see a specialist about consultation, diagnosis, or treatment of knee pain and meniscus tears.

While the private clinic specialises in musculoskeletal conditions of all types, they also have specialists that focus on particular areas of the body, or common injuries. New clients using the updated self-referral system can schedule their appointments directly with Prof. Paul Lee, the founder of the clinic, and their in-house specialist for knee injuries.

Professor Lee is a double-board certified orthopaedic surgeon and an expert in sports and regenerative therapies. While Prof. Lee is known for his work treating UK premiership footballers, he is also a specialist in the knee, hip, ankle, and Achilles tendon, and has been trained in several techniques that are not yet available through the NHS.

Clients experiencing sharp pains in the knee, which may be accompanied by swelling or stiffness, are encouraged to schedule an appointment as soon as possible, to check for signs of damage to their meniscus. In some cases, these injuries may also prevent a client’s knee from being able to straighten fully, or may even prevent them from walking.

To ensure clients are treated as promptly as possible, the MSK Doctors clinic has access to several diagnostic options, including an Open MRI scanner that is the only device of its kind in the county. This scanner is able to provide detailed scans of the injured area even while it is in motion, and uses a unique design that allows clients to be scanned even if they suffer from claustrophobia.

While there is no single treatment that is ideal for all meniscus tears, the specialist at MSK Doctors offer a wide range of treatments, including several regenerative and non-surgical options. The optimal treatment for each client will be determined based on their specific injury and the best advice of Prof. Lee, who authored the book, “Diagnosing The Cause Of A Locked Knee.”

A spokesperson for the private clinic explained, “Many treatment options are available for a meniscus tear. Sound knowledge and understanding of its mechanics and biology are the keys to success. Prof. Lee and the MSK Doctors team have invested in the latest technology in knee science which can track knee movement to provide appropriate treatments for meniscus issues.“
