New York City, New York Dec 22, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - Fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian, Dr. Rozentsvit is a physician-neurologist and neurorehabilitation specialist. She is trained in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy with extensive experience in brain injury, autoimmune neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions, as well as their rehabilitation.

She is a Founder of Neuro Recovery Solutions, a non-profit organization that helps the neurologically impaired, their families, and caregivers in their often heart-breaking journey to well-being. She is also an educator who works with families of children and adults diagnosed with developmental, learning, or emotional disabilities, applying a transdisciplinary approach --  from the fields of neurology, general medicine, basic sciences, mental health, and pedagogy to solving puzzles of miscommunications and every-day interactions of these children and their parents.

That is why she co-founded ParentsFirst! and Parents First Educational Network, based on the fundamental paradigm shift: "from parenting to parenthood." She hopes every parent feels nurtured, loved, and supported, and shares these gifts with their children, families, and communities, creating a legacy of unconditional love for all.

At the Object Relations Institute for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis (ORI), Dr. Rozentsvit is a scientific faculty member, as well as the Programs Director and Administrator. Her course on Neurobiology for Psychoanalysts and Psychotherapists and the Parent-Child Development program at the ORI includes important for all mental health professionals topics: Psychic trauma and post-traumatic growth; Love before first sight: attachment science, self-regulation, and parent-child relationships; Neurobiology of self; Neurochemistry of emotions; Neurological disorders (Parkinson's disease, stroke, and multiple sclerosis) in the eyes of a psychotherapist; Neurobiology of psychosomatic illness; Neuroscience of anger and violence; and others. Many of these topics are included in her book - Neurobiology is Destiny: A Guide to Brain-Mind-Soul-Body Matters - which is designed for mental health professionals and the general public curious about their brain-mind-body wellness.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Rozentsvit graduated with her medical degree from Stavropol State Medical University in Russia in 1982. She then relocated to the United States, performing her internship in internal medicine at Flushing Hospital Medical Center and her residency in neurology at Montefiore Medical Center in 1995 and 1998, respectively.

Passionate about people, Dr. Rozentsvit supports the possibilities that all people are. This passion fueled her publishing endeavors, which realized in founding the ORI Academic Press, the MindMend Publishing Co., and the Mind Consilium, a trans-disciplinary journal with the main focus on the cross-pollination of knowledge and experience from various mental health, medicine, and science fields.

Her other projects and interests include MindMendMedia (the publishing preparation company, mindmendmedia.com/portfolio/); PsychArtCreativity Study Group (www.psychartcreativity.org); ArtEcoWellness initiative (artecowellness.com); SELP Life Changers (selplifechangers.com), Celebrating Neurodiversity 365 (celebratingneurodiversity365.com), and PayItForward for nonprofits (payitforwardauctions.org), just to name a few.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient's mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.

An authority in her field, Dr. Rozentsvit frequently speaks at conferences about neurobiology and psychoanalysis. She has also published articles on the neurobiological approach to psychoanalytic work.
