Houston Wholesale Scrap Metal Exporter Expands International Recycling Network

Dec 6, 2022

After opening locations across the US, Huston-based wholesale scrap metal recycling company, C&Y Global, is expanding their international export service to keep up with the nearly 200,000 tons of metals collected annually.

Pasadena,United States - December 6, 2022 /NewsNetwork/ —

C&Y has announced their participation in five different metals conferences in coming months, both at home and abroad, to keep pace with the growing demand for scrap metal recycling and export. Now boasting eight wholesale scrap collection sites across seven states, the company is poised to take full advantage of their streamlined export and processing network.

Since the development of C&Y’s international processing facility in Thailand, which is capable of processing up to 100,000 tons of scrap metal annually, they have become one of the leading exporters of scrap metal in North America, and this year’s involvement in the most prestigious metals conferences signals that their sights are set on further developing their export capabilities.

With the global scrap metal recycling market projected to nearly double in value over the next decade, this may situate C&Y to make a significant impact, both economically and environmentally, as they continue to build upon their existing infrastructure.

C&Y Global has shown remarkable growth since its founding in 2004, maintaining a strong business model through both a major recession and the pandemic. Some of their success may be credited to the efficient division of labor which has been established between their domestic and international facing ventures.

The eight collection facilities, spread over a wide swath of the US, focus entirely on quality control and inventory turnover logistics, emphasizing communication and operational efficiency that keeps the acquisition and export process as fast and smooth as possible.

Exported scrap metal is then shipped abroad where it can be processed and sold again through C&Y Global’s international network. This allows each of the company’s facilities to specialize in one side of the recycling process.

A spokesperson for the company shared how this helps collection centers maintain their quality of service in the midst of such rapid growth, noting that C&Y is “honest, trustworthy, respectful and ethical in our actions with each customer. No customer request or requirement is too small.”
