Buyers can describe a home, cottage or building plot in a sentence, with results linking to selling agents' adverts
Glasgow, United Kingdom, October 26, 2026 -- Homivo launched its property search on 9 October 2026, starting in the Highlands and the west coast of Scotland. The search lets buyers type a description of what they want, such as a plot outside Inverness or a cottage with a sea view, rather than filtering by bedroom count, price band and town.
The search reads the public adverts for homes, cottages and building plots already for sale, working through each listing's description, photographs and map, and shows a short reason beside every result explaining why it matches. The sentence-based search includes crofts, holdings and parcels of land alongside homes for sale in Inverness and homes for sale in the Highlands, without requiring a bedroom count for land.
Coverage extends beyond Inverness and the wider Highlands to Oban, Fort William, Nairn, Perthshire, Skye, Loch Lomond, Largs and the Argyll coast, including homes for sale in Dunoon. Buyers can search at no charge, without creating an account. Homivo is not an estate agent: every result links to the selling agent's own advert, where the enquiry, the viewing and the sale take place. Agents are not charged for their listings to appear and can ask for them to be removed.
"Someone looking for half an acre above a sea loch can type that description into Homivo," said Ted McDonald, Marketing at Homivo. "Each match gives them a reason to look, then sends them to the selling agent's advert."
The index contains about 3,300 homes, cottages and plots from 51 local estate agents across 21 Scottish council areas, including nearly 400 building plots and parcels of land.

Police have busted a cybercrime ring that allegedly stole over 8 million pieces of personal information from dozens of businesses by using artificial intelligence (AI), officials said Monday. Seven suspects allegedly stole 8.2 million pieces of personal data and other internal records from over 90 entities, including hospitals, private academies and businesses, until recently from September last year, according to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. The group is suspected of using AI tools to hack 60 of the targets and attempting to extort some of them. Of the targeted entities, 38 suffered losses, with the group demanding a combined 360 million won ($272,000) from them. Police said the group's 32-year-old ring leader was referred to the prosecution on Friday while he was under physical detention. The other suspects are facing further questioning. The ringleader, a self-taught hacker, learned about hacking skills by working at a security company, where the suspect was in charge of mock hacking attacks. Authorities have recently been on alert over cybercrime suspected of employing AI tool
