Emergency Exterminator In Barnsley Warns About Rat And Mice Infestation
Nov 13, 2019
November 13, 2019 - /PressAdvantage/ - Apex Pest Control, based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, UK, has warned that people should have their homes and properties checked for rats and mice as the winter season approaches. This is because of the cool weather, which causes rodents and other animals to look for warmer places to build their nests. Rats and mice will therefore usually find their way into homes because of the warmth and then they hide in various places where they might not easily be detected. They will also be attracted to homes because of the presence of food. Unfortunately, they can cause damage to homes and people will soon be looking for mice and rat pest control services.
Tony Johnson, owner and Head Pest Technician at Apex Pest Control, says, “Don't wait for rats or mice to cause damage to your homes. Our pest control Barnsley experts work throughout the city and suburbs, providing professional pest control services for both homeowners and businesses. Our local pest technicians and surveyors in Barnsley are members of the National Pest Technicians Association and certified. Our knowledge, experience and expertise allow us to provide the safest and most effective treatments to deal with pest control problems on your premises. At Apex pest control Barnsley all our pest treatments are child and pet friendly.”
Apex Pest Control offers rat control services across Yorkshire. Their service is tailored to each property as no two jobs are the same. Their professional rat removal team will utilise effective control methods to eliminate brown rat or black rat pests for homes and businesses. They will follow a simple process, which consists of a survey and inspection of the building; proofing and prevention; baiting; and follow up visits. The treatments provided by Apex Pest Control will require an initial visit and then succeeding follow up appointments. Baits will be positioned in those areas where rats are expected to frequent. The rodenticide used is effective in killing rats but it is safe for humans or non-target species.
The company also provides pest control in Royston and other areas, such as Billingley, Cawthorne, Darfield, Dodworth, Dunford, Great Houghton, High Hoyland, Langsett, Oxspring, Penistone, Shafton, Stainborough, Wormsborough, and more.
Meanwhile, mice control will always be tailored to each premise that they are infesting, whether it is a home, a farm, or a factory. Mice are a bit different from rats in that they prefer multiple feeding points. Just like with rat control, the team from Apex Pest Control will also conduct a survey of the premises. Mice like to stay in areas where food is stored and prepared, such as the pantry and kitchen. Other places favoured mice include airing cupboards, under baths, subfloor areas, and loft areas. The pest control team will be looking for various signs like smear marks, nest, holes, knowing, damage, runs, dead or live mice, droppings, smell, and tracks.
After the survey, baits are positioned in those areas that have been found to be frequented by the mice. They will need to be careful in placing the baits in order to avoid human contact and non-target species. Some or all of the baits may need to be placed inside tamper resistant bait stations using a wax block formulation. All of the baits for mice will be second generation rodenticide formulation. Several follow up visits will be made and the number of visits will depend on the size of the infestation. Baiting will continue until the bait is no longer being taken. They will then search for dead mice after the treatment to prevent problems with odours and insect infestation.
