Cromwell Manor Inn in Cornwall, NY introduces a winter romance retreat for couples, pairing fireplace guest rooms in its 1820 Manor House with a slow-paced itinerary for weekend getaways upstate NY.

Cornwall, United States, November 6, 2026 -- CORNWALL, NY — Cromwell Manor Inn, a historic bed and breakfast in the Hudson Valley, has introduced a winter romance retreat designed for couples seeking weekend getaways upstate NY. The program pairs guest rooms with working wood-burning fireplaces in the inn’s 1820 Manor House with a slow-paced itinerary built around the colder months. The retreat is offered at the inn’s property at 174 Angola Road in Cornwall.

Winter has traditionally been a quieter season for lodging in the Hudson Valley, and many inns have begun developing seasonal programs for couples who prefer fewer crowds and a more relaxed pace. The region sits about an hour from Manhattan, making short stays practical for travelers from the New York metropolitan area. Cromwell Manor Inn created the retreat to give those travelers a defined plan for a two-night winter stay rather than an unstructured visit.

The retreat centers on the Manor House, a brick mansion built in 1820 that contains nine of the inn’s 13 guest rooms. Several rooms feature working wood-burning fireplaces, and select rooms add claw-foot tubs, whirlpool tubs, four-poster beds, or vaulted ceilings. Each room has a private bathroom, and the building retains original details such as wide pumpkin pine floorboards, grand columns and a portico entrance.

The itinerary allows time to rest between activities. Each stay includes a breakfast prepared with ingredients from Hudson Valley producers, and guests may use the outdoor hot tub and the wooded gardens on the grounds. The property overlooks Storm King Mountain, and nearby destinations include Storm King Art Center, about five minutes away, and Jones Farm, a short walk from the inn. West Point and Woodbury Common Premium Outlets are each roughly 15 minutes by car, and local wineries, breweries and hiking trails are also within reach.

“Winter is when the Manor House fireplaces are most useful, and we wanted couples to have a weekend that is organized around them instead of squeezed in around other plans,” said Press Relations, Media Contact of Cromwell Manor Inn. “The goal is a quiet, unhurried stay in a building that has been welcoming guests for generations.”

About Cromwell Manor Inn: Cromwell Manor Inn is a historic bed and breakfast based in Cornwall, New York. The property consists of two historic structures, the 1820 Manor House and the 1764 House, which together contain 13 individually decorated guest rooms. The inn also hosts weddings of up to 100 guests, corporate retreats and family stays on its landscaped grounds.

Couples planning winter weekend getaways in the Hudson Valley can review the retreat details and available rooms at Cromwell Manor Inn - Weekend Getaways Upstate NY.
