Laura Degiovanni, an exclusive buyer’s agent at The Home Buyers Agent of Ann Arbor, was just recognized by The National Home Buyer’s Association with the Cutest Home Purchase Award for a recent transaction in which she helped her home buyer clients find a 1930s craftsman home and negotiated a purchase price at several thousand dollars below its appraised value.

“Laura has been helping home buyers with us for years, and she has received many savings awards over that time, but this situation was unique. As the only full fiduciary buyer's agent in southeastern Michigan, we actually review transactions together in our office meetings. We saw Laura help this home-buying couple avoid buying some bad homes in Livingston County, but when she wrote an offer on this one, we were all impressed by it. It wasn't large or fancy, but it looked like it would provide a great quality of living, and it was very cute," said Jon Boyd, managing broker for The Home Buyer's Agent, where Degiovanni works.

“We were a bit nervous for her buyers when some strange issues came up during the home inspection, but Laura was able to work through those and even purchase the home for sixty-five hundred dollars below the appraised value. When the deal was done and the dust cleared all of our agents reacted on what a cute home it was.”

Along with the award from the National Home Buyer’s Association, Laura received a five-hundred-dollar bonus from her brokerage. “Once again, Laura did an outstanding job for our clients, and we want to recognize that”, Boyd said.

The term “exclusive buyer agency” is defined by the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents (NAEBA.org) as: a company who only represents home buyers. The company never represents sellers and the company never lists property. The Home Buyer’s Agent of Ann Arbor is Southeastern Michigan’s largest buyer’s real estate company and the oldest Exclusive Buyer’s Agency in the state of Michigan. It has helped thousands of home buyers save millions of dollars on their home purchases. Since Exclusive Buyer Agent companies only represent home buyers and never sellers, these companies avoid the conflicts of interest of traditional real estate companies and offer home buyers 100% loyalty.

Ji So-yun brings wisdom, experience and winning spirit to Korean women's football

“I am thinking about retiring after reaching 200 appearances for the national team.” Ji So-yun, a living legend of Korean women's football, has set a clear target for the final chapter of her international career: reaching 200 games before hanging up her cleats. The 35-year-old Suwon FC Women midfielder won a bronze medal at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games and is now in her 20th year as a member of the national team. She first donned the Taegeuk mark in 2006 at the age of 15. Since making her Asian Games debut in Doha, Qatar, that year, she has competed in six games, including Guangzhou, China, in 2010, Incheon in 2014, Jakarta-Palembang, Indonesia, in 2018, Hangzhou, China, in 2022 and this year's tournament. In a recent interview with Hankook Ilbo at the Suwon Athletes' Tillage, Ji spoke candidly about her retirement plans. “I think I could reach 200 appearances sometime next year or the year after,” she said. Ji holds the Korean record for most appearances and goals in international matches, with 182 caps and 76 goals. On the men's side, Son Heung-min (151 caps, 59 goals) sur
