South Holland, Netherlands Nov 1, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - BeSustain has joined the United Nations Global Compact, the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative, supporting universal principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
BeSustain works from the premise that sustainability commitments should not only be stated, but made visible through evidence, measurable progress and transparent communication. Through its sustainability communications work, evaluation approach and developing awards programme, the platform aims to strengthen access to credible sustainability information.
Berat Kozulu, Founder of BeSustain, commented:
"Becoming a participant of the United Nations Global Compact is an important step that shows we are moving in the right direction in our mission to make sustainability information more open, accessible and accountable. We see responsible business not only as a communications matter, but as a principle that should be visible in the decisions organisations make, the information they share and the progress they choose to measure."
In developing its approach to governance, human rights, environmental responsibility, responsible communication and supplier practices, BeSustain takes OECD Responsible Business Conduct guidance into account.
BeSustain is also developing the BeSustain Sustainability Awards, planned to launch in 2027. The programme is being designed around evidence, progress, impact and transparency, with the aim of reducing greenwashing risks and encouraging accountable sustainability communication. Further information on the programme launch and application timeline will be shared in due course.
