Atlantis Medical marks its fifth year of operation in 2026 by highlighting specialised hair restoration procedures for beards, eyebrows and scar tissue, alongside its established treatments for men and women experiencing hair loss.
Malvern, Australia, October 26, 2026 -- Atlantis Medical is marking five years of operation in 2026, having been founded in 2021, and is highlighting its range of specialised restoration procedures that extend beyond standard pattern hair loss treatment to include beard reconstruction, eyebrow restoration and hair transplantation into areas of scarring.
Based in Malvern, Atlantis Medical provides surgical and non-surgical hair restoration options, with every treatment plan built around an individual assessment of a person's hair loss pattern, donor hair availability, hair characteristics and long-term goals. The clinic's established hair loss treatment for men and female hair loss treatment programmes sit alongside its surgical transplantation services as part of this individualised approach.
Beard transplantation, eyebrow transplantation and hair transplantation for scars follow the same surgical principles as scalp transplantation. These are invasive surgical procedures carried out under local anaesthesia, involving micro-incisions and graft placement, followed by a period of healing. Surgery carries risks, and consultation addresses individual suitability, limitations and recovery. Transplanted scalp hair used in these areas retains the genetic characteristics of its donor site, meaning it continues to grow after the procedure and requires ongoing trimming and shaping once established.
Outcomes for beard, eyebrow and scar procedures vary between patients and depend on factors including donor hair availability and the condition of the recipient tissue. Hair transplantation into scar tissue can reduce the visual noticeability of scarring, but graft survival in compromised tissue is variable and results cannot be guaranteed. Temporary shedding of transplanted hair can occur following surgery, with full growth typically assessed over a nine to twelve month period, although recovery and growth timelines vary. Suitability for any of these procedures is determined through individual clinical consultation rather than self-assessment.
Atlantis Medical provides surgical and non-surgical hair restoration treatment options tailored to individual patient needs. Founded by Dr Vikram Jayaprakash, one of a small number of hair restoration surgeons in Australia certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS), the clinic is focused on the assessment and management of hair loss in Melbourne. The clinic understands that hair loss can affect individuals in different ways, which is why it takes a patient-centred approach to consultation, treatment planning and ongoing care. The clinic is equipped with modern facilities, and treatment recommendations are based on individual assessment, suitability and treatment goals. The team works closely with patients to develop personalised treatment plans throughout their hair restoration journey.

Police have busted a cybercrime ring that allegedly stole over 8 million pieces of personal information from dozens of businesses by using artificial intelligence (AI), officials said Monday. Seven suspects allegedly stole 8.2 million pieces of personal data and other internal records from over 90 entities, including hospitals, private academies and businesses, until recently from September last year, according to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. The group is suspected of using AI tools to hack 60 of the targets and attempting to extort some of them. Of the targeted entities, 38 suffered losses, with the group demanding a combined 360 million won ($272,000) from them. Police said the group's 32-year-old ring leader was referred to the prosecution on Friday while he was under physical detention. The other suspects are facing further questioning. The ringleader, a self-taught hacker, learned about hacking skills by working at a security company, where the suspect was in charge of mock hacking attacks. Authorities have recently been on alert over cybercrime suspected of employing AI tool
