Los Angeles Author Maps a Path Inward Through the Brain's Own Anatomy

Oct 20, 2026

Los Angeles author Richard Johnson, founder of Divine Mind 1.2, has released The Universal Principle Made Visible, an ebook that uses the brain's ventricular system as an anchor for a simple, breath-paced daily meditation.

Los Angeles, United States, October 20, 2026 /PressCable/ -- LOS ANGELES, CA. Author Richard Johnson, founder of Divine Mind 1.2, has released The Universal Principle Made Visible, an ebook that brings meditation back to something every person already carries: the ventricles at the center of the brain and the cerebrospinal fluid that moves through them.

Johnson spent about 30 years studying meditation, the brain, and the writings of the world's spiritual teachers. The book is the result of that study. Instead of asking readers to adopt a new belief, it gives them a real place to rest their attention, one they can find on any anatomy chart.

A Practice Built on the Body

The method in the book is called the Ventricle System Method. It begins with the breath. Readers take a slow inhale, hold it for 15 to 20 seconds while silently giving thanks for the exhale, then let the breath go slowly. This is repeated three times to settle the mind into gratitude.

From there, attention moves slowly up the spine, one vertebra at a time, pausing at the heart space in the middle of the back and continuing to the place where the spine meets the skull. The practice then follows the path of the cerebrospinal fluid through the fourth ventricle and the cerebral aqueduct and into the third ventricle at the very center of the brain, a space ancient traditions called the Cave of Brahma. Readers rest there for about three minutes.

The book also explores the lateral ventricles, the paired chambers on either side of the brain. Johnson uses them to show how the habit of seeing everything as right or wrong can grow from the brain treating its two halves as separate. A simple grounding exercise, gently rubbing the thumb and index finger of one hand while focusing on the opposite side of the brain, helps bring both halves back into balance before the practice closes in gratitude.

A Shepherd, Not a Guru

Johnson does not present himself as a guru. He describes his role as a shepherd, someone who points readers back toward a home they already have. The book draws on teachers such as Rumi, Howard Thurman, Krishnamurti, Teilhard de Chardin and the Vedic tradition, and pairs their insight with plain anatomy so the practice stays grounded and easy to repeat.

The result is a short daily meditation that anyone can try, whether they come from a spiritual background or simply want a calmer, more focused mind.

Fandom vs flag: why young Chinese embrace Japanese pop culture but reject war-era symbols

Young Chinese people enjoy Japanese pop culture such as anime and music, but many draw a firm line at symbols of Japanese militarism. That line was tested recently at Moscow State University, where Chinese students confronted a classmate wearing Japan’s rising sun flag in class and called for his repatriation, state-run newspaper Global Times reported on Sunday. Many countries, including China, view the flag as a symbol of Japanese militarism and aggression. Japan’s Self-Defence Forces still use...
