AI Agents Are Getting Their Own Computers. HRTech Leading in Vertical Harness Development

Oct 16, 2026

Not a Black Box joins a small group of AI innovators bringing dedicated cloud computers to autonomous agents, with a breakthrough for the headless future of HCM.

HAMMERSMITH, U.K. - Oct. 16, 2026 - PRLog -- Not a Black Box, Inc. today announced a major advancement in 3rd Rodeo, its AI agent harness powering TalentOS. Every HR agent can now be equipped with its own sandboxed cloud computer.

A real computer. Browser, terminal, Python, file system, and the ability to execute code, analyse data, create documents and operate software.

Only a handful of AI companies have publicly demonstrated comparable capabilities, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity and Hark. These are some of the most ambitious companies in AI, building the infrastructure for a world where agents don't just answer questions. They actually do the work.

Now a small AI lab in London is bringing the same capability to HRTech.

Solving for Agent UX

Enterprise software was designed for humans. Screens, forms, buttons, menus and workflows. For decades, we've assumed somebody would be sitting in front of the software.

That assumption is about to change.

The ATS and HCM industries are heading towards a headless future. One where AI agents increasingly become the primary users of enterprise platforms.

But there's a problem. Removing the user interface and exposing APIs doesn't suddenly make enterprise software agent-friendly.

Agents need somewhere to work.

They need to browse websites, execute code, handle files, move between applications and complete complex tasks without somebody clicking the buttons for them.

And in HR, they need to do all of this while respecting sensitive employee data, permissions, business rules and human approval requirements.

Every "talent" agent gets its own isolated computer, preconfigured for its role. Recruiting agents can work across job boards, compensation agents can analyse thousands of employee records, and onboarding agents can create documents and videos.

But the bigger innovation is how it all fits together. Cloud compute is integrated with their AI software factory, vertical harness and application layer. Each is designed with AI-native governance, sharing context, permissions and guardrails across the entire stack. Agents get more freedom to act, without sacrificing enterprise control.

"The future of HCM isn't a better interface. It's agents doing the work, and humans governing the outcomes. But you don't get there by bolting a chatbot onto an ATS. It's a full-stack challenge that needs a full-stack solution. Giving every agent its own computer is another big step towards making headless HCM a reality."

From digital pets to robot pals: how AI is changing Hong Kong classrooms

Hands shot up in a Hong Kong Primary Two classroom as pupils debated what their digital pet needed more, meal vouchers or the latest game cards. Their teacher at SKH Kei Oi Primary School in Sham Shui Po had created the virtual pet using artificial intelligence (AI) and web tools for a lesson on saving and budgeting. With each spending decision, the pet’s mood and savings changed on screen, helping pupils discover the consequences of careless spending. Such lessons are becoming more common...

Shenzhen too pricey? Cost-conscious Hongkongers dig deeper into mainland China

Seventy-something Hong Kong retiree Leung Ching says a meal for four in Shenzhen, the megacity in mainland China roughly an hour’s train ride away, that cost just over 300 yuan (US$45) a few years ago now runs to 500 to 600 yuan. It would cost around HK$1,000 (US$127.50) in Hong Kong, but only 300 yuan in Guangzhou and just 200 yuan in Zhongshan, two cities within two hours of Hong Kong. “Shenzhen is becoming less and less affordable,” said Leung, a retired vendor. Last year, consumer prices in...

Mao vs Rao: Cell Press probe clears editor but Chinese biologist keeps up pressure

Prominent biologist Rao Yi is refusing to back down after Cell Press said it had found no evidence that top journal editor Steve Mao sought bribes from Chinese scientists. In a statement published on Thursday evening, Cell Press – one of the world’s leading scientific publishers, owned by Elsevier – said its investigation had “largely concluded” and “found no evidence to support the aforementioned allegations”. Nevertheless, Rao, a tenured chair professor at Peking University who stepped down as...

Hong Kong’s Jumbo Floating Restaurant catches fire before opening, kills 34 – SCMP archive

This story was first published on October 31, 1971. Aberdeen was yesterday (October 30, 1971) rocked by a tremendous explosion followed by fire which swept through the $14 million Jumbo Restaurant, killing 13 and injuring at least 42 others on board. It happened so quickly that within five minutes, fire engulfed the four-decked floating restaurant, reducing it to a charred hulk. Hundreds of people leapt for life from the decks and from the pagoda-shaped towers of the palatial restaurant. It was...

The move may signal that criminal charges are in the works — but the county has ways to fight back.

Scary deals? What makes Hong Kong shun death-linked homes while France embraces the risk

Even as Hong Kong remains the world’s least affordable housing market, many buyers still shun heavily discounted homes linked to an “unnatural death”, such as murder or suicide, according to property agents. Prices for such properties could fall by as much as 50 per cent, while rents were typically about 20 per cent below market rates, they added. The aversion stands in stark contrast to parts of Europe, particularly in France, where buyers are often willing to purchase homes under a “vente en...
